Special Edition Mars Lighter 2003 |
|
On rare occasions when Celestial Meteors penetrate thick atmosphere of our planet and strike the surface a few lucky ones can get ahold of the meteorites - parts of the meteor that did reach the Earth. One of these hit the earth in Middle East and is thought to be from Mars' region on the Solar system. An Italian Entrepreneur bought a piece of the Meteorite and designed a lighter with Meteorite particles embedded in the red dot of Chinese lacquer creating a striking resemblance with "the red planet". The concentric grooves of the elliptical planetary orbits smartly continue onto the skillfully designed presentation box, placing finishing touches to complete the witty design. Intriguingly smart and scarcely rare lighter is a coveted dream of many collectors worldwide. Only 300 pieces of the brushed palladium (platinum) lighters were produced and distributed worldwide in 2003.
